How to add a New Stock Code to AutoEDI

AutoEDI: New Stock Codes

Add a New Stock Code to AutoEDI

Add the Stock Code to the Customer Stock Codes

You need to have the Accounts Receivable Administrator Role to perform the following functions.
For AutoEDI to be able to use a new stock code that has been created in the SYSPRO, the new stock code must be linked to a Customer stock code.

Open SYSPRO.
Click on Accounts Receivable > Setup > Customer Stock Codes.

Enter the Customer Number and press TAB key.
Click on the add New button.

Enter the Customer Stock Code, as they present it in their EDI files.
Enter the SYSPRO Stock Code, as it is found in SYSPRO.

Click Save.
The Customer Stock Code must match what the customer provides in their EDI files, or AutoEDI will not match it in SYSPRO.

Update AutoEDI with new Stock Codes

You must have administrator access to AutoEDI to perform the following functions.
Once the stock code has been added to SYSPRO Customer Stock Codes, you must add it to AutoEDI.
Open AutoEDI.
Click on Administration > ERP Settings > ERP Part Number.
Click on Synchronise.
This will place AutoEDI in the same state as SYSPRO with regards to the SYSPRO Stock Codes. If required, you can edit individual ERP Stock Codes with additional information by selecting the part number and clicking Edit.

Additional Steps

There are some additional features that you may wish to explore when adding a new stock code.
  1. Have you reviewed the packaging for this stock code if you are dispatching it with electronic shipping notices?
  2. Have you reviewed the cumulative balances in case you are on boarding this stock code during a project?
In addition, please check the PAN and EBQ sizes in SYSPRO for this part. Remember, the number of pieces in the PAN size must match the number of pieces of this stock code that fits in one handling unit.
